Nestled in Dixie National Forest, Cowpuncher cabin, NE above Escalante, Utah, burnt down a few years ago and a large yurt with 6 beds has been erected in the same area. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, cutlery, plates, cups and glasses, even pot holders. If inclement weather happens, folding wooden chairs and a pull-out table can accommodate your party's meals in the yurt. Inside, the stalwart wood-stove is ready to warm you if needed. Otherwise, al Fresca dining can be had on the enormous clean picnic table and benches outside.
Bring your own potable water even with a cool clear creek nearby. The outhouse is a short stroll up and is clean and well-stocked with toilet paper.
