We are excited about hiking in nature, exploring new areas and teaching traditional outdoor skills.  Our business model is to be a small family owned nature education and guide service. We look forward to designing your next Boulder, Utah based adventure through which we will share the treasures within the Escalante River Canyons and on Boulder Mountain. Desert DAWN guides live in Boulder, Utah and have hiked, guided and taught extensively on these lands.

We are in our 21st year as Escalante’s first professional guide service.  We offer unparalleled opportunities for guided excursions Canyoneering, Slot Canyon Hiking and Backpacking tours into the most pristine canyons of the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Death Hollow Wilderness Area. 

Escalante Outfitters offers guided natural history tours and guided fly fishing tours. Our fly fishing guide service caters to the adventure fly fisherman who is willing to explore new waters in search of wild fish as well as beginners who are looking for a unique wilderness experience.  Guided Natural History Tours cover a variety of topics and can be catered to your interests in the natural sciences of the Colorado Plateau.

Paddle Board Rental Station is located next to the sparkling reservoir at the Escalante Petrified Forest State Park. We rent stand-up paddle boards and sit-top kayaks. The Petrified Forest State Park is the perfect setting for water sports and we have what you need. We are a small, family owned & operated business in Escalante, Utah. We will be renting again in May of 2021 to get onto the water and have some fun!

Escape Goats is celebrating it's 18th season as a permitted outfitter, guide and shuttle service for the Escalante Grand-Staircase National Monument. We are a family owned and operated business located in the town of Escalante, Utah. Along with slot canyon tours, we offer a variety of day and evening hikes, backpack trips, photo tours and catered base camp trips. Open year round.
