David creates uniquely designed “Sculptured Furniture” in his workshop/gallery just west of Escalante on Highway 12. The sculptured, flowing forms of his ergonomic wood furniture, created by laminating, chain sawing and sanding, found natural counterparts in rock formations of Canyon Country when moving to Escalante in 1996. Recipient of the 2002 Utah Arts Council Fellowship Award and the 2005 Individual Artists Grant.

It is illegal to collect anything in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, State Parks, National Parks and Monuments.

The Clay Artist, Brigitte Delthony, creates Primitive Pottery, archaic clay sculptures and offers workshops in her unique Studio-Gallery. Inspired by prehistoric cultures, Brigitte’s work is hand built, decorated and pit-fired according to ancient techniques. Moving in 1996 to Escalante from Berlin, Germany where she worked as an art teacher/art therapist, Brigitte won Merit Awards (1999, 2005) from the Utah Humanities Council.  She exhibits in galleries and museums in southern Utah.
